Aimee CopelandComes Back to Give Back!

Aimee spent time in an Augusta hospital after a zip line accident that cost her both hands, a leg, and a foot due to a flesh eating bacteria. Due to the huge success of the Run for Aimee 5K, she and her family want to give back to the community.

Andy Copeland, Aimee's father, said" I would like to say that the city of Augusta will always have a special place in our hearts. It is a big city with a small town feel and a city that is filled with compassion and loving people. The incredible support that our family received during our stay, including prayers, blood, food, living quarters and financial aid, was very instrumental in raising our spirits and helping us focus on Aimee's needs. That Augusta has world-class medical facilities and world class spirituality and compassion is no coincidence. I believe that the latter bred the former and this is the reason Augusta is such a unique and special place. Thank you Augusta and may God forever shine His grace upon your beautiful faces."
